We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer – Civil Construction to join our construction team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in construction planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and project controls, with hands-on knowledge of Primavera P6. Similar Bahrain postings emphasize baseline programs, WBS, critical-path analysis, progress reporting, and recovery planning.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6.
Prepare baseline programs, master schedules, WBS, milestones, and look-ahead schedules.
Monitor actual site progress against approved programs and identify delays or deviations.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, QS, subcontractors, and site teams to collect progress updates.
Analyze critical path, float, schedule performance, and project risks.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Develop recovery programs and recommend corrective actions for delayed activities.
Track manpower, materials, equipment, and productivity against the approved schedule.
Update schedules based on actual progress, variations, and approved changes.
Assist with delay analysis, EOT submissions, and claims-related planning documentation.
Attend progress meetings and provide planning and scheduling updates.
Maintain accurate project planning records and documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.
3–5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in civil/building construction.
Strong experience in building, villa, commercial, or large-scale civil construction projects.
Excellent knowledge of Primavera P6; MS Project is an advantage.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, WBS, CPM, baseline schedules, and progress measurement.
Ability to read and understand civil/architectural drawings, BOQs, and project specifications.
Knowledge of S-curves, resource planning, delay analysis, recovery schedules, and EOT is preferred.
Strong MS Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
Excellent analytical, communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
GCC construction experience is preferred; Bahrain experience is highly preferred.
Must be currently available in Bahrain.
Immediate joiners or candidates available on short notice are strongly preferred.
Candidates with cancelled/transferable visa or valid local status are preferred.
