I offer individual beginner Carnatic violin lessons for children in Sanabis, especially for children who are completely new to the instrument. I have around 10 years of experience learning Carnatic violin and continue to practise.
What your child will learn
• Basic violin posture and bowing
• Finger placement and swara knowledge
• Sarali Varisai and basic exercises
• Janta Varisai & Alankaram
• Simple Geethams and Keerthanams as the child progresses
• Introduction to Carnatic rhythm and melody
• Simple familiar melodies/songs to keep learning enjoyable
My approach is to build a strong Carnatic foundation while keeping lessons enjoyable and encouraging for children.
Suitable for
• Complete beginners
• Children approximately 5–12 years old
• Children who are interested in Indian/Carnatic music
• No previous violin experience required

Fees: BD 25/month – 4 individual 1-hour lessons
We can arrange a trial/introductory lesson before committing to monthly classes.
The child will need to have their own appropriately sized violin for regular lessons and home practice. I can guide parents regarding the suitable beginner violin size.
