VIV DURUB FACTORY is seeking a qualified and experienced technician specializing in the fabrication, assembly, welding, and finishing of HDPE and PVDF tanks and thermoplastic equipment.

Key Responsibilities
Fabricate, assemble, and weld HDPE and PVDF tanks of various sizes.
Perform structural welding using Extrusion Welding equipment.
Carry out Hot-Gas Welding for tack welding, root welding, detailed work, and finishing.
Perform Butt Fusion and Socket Fusion welding for pipes and fittings when required.
Assemble tank shells, bottoms, roofs, supports, stiffening rings, and other structural components.
Fabricate, install, and weld nozzles, flanges, manholes, inlet and outlet connections, and drain points.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication details, dimensions, and nozzle orientations.
Prepare, scrape, clean, align, and fit thermoplastic components before welding.
Select the correct welding rod and properly control welding temperature, air flow, pressure, and travel speed according to the material and thickness.
Perform internal, external, and multi-layer welding.
Inspect weld quality, identify defects, carry out repairs, and complete final finishing.
Conduct dimensional inspections, leak tests, and other required quality checks.
Safely handle and assemble large thermoplastic tanks inside the factory.
Follow all factory quality and occupational safety procedures.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of three years of practical experience in the fabrication and welding of HDPE and PVDF tanks.
Proven experience operating plastic extrusion welders and hot-air welding equipment.
Ability to fabricate a complete tank, from reading the drawing through assembly, welding, inspection, and final finishing.
Good knowledge of HDPE and PVDF material properties and the welding requirements for each material.
Ability to read engineering and fabrication drawings accurately.
Experience in locating and installing nozzles, manholes, flanges, supports, and stiffeners.
Ability to use plastic cutting, scraping, forming, measuring, and fitting tools.
Knowledge of weld defects, their causes, and the correct repair procedures.
Ability to maintain dimensional accuracy and proper component alignment.
Strong attention to workmanship, quality, cleanliness, and safety.
Ability to work effectively as part of a factory production team.
Preferred Qualifications
Valid thermoplastic welding qualification in accordance with EN 13067, DVS 2212-1, or an equivalent recognized standard.
Previous experience fabricating chemical storage tanks and large industrial thermoplastic vessels.
Experience with leak testing and inspection of thermoplastic welds.
Experience working with drawings, welding procedures, inspection reports, and quality documentation.
A portfolio or clear photographs of previously fabricated HDPE and PVDF tanks.
Practical Trade Test
Shortlisted applicants will be required to complete a practical fabrication and welding test using HDPE and/or PVDF. The assessment will include:
Material identification and selection of the correct welding rod.
Joint preparation, scraping, cleaning, alignment, and fit-up.
Correct setup and adjustment of the welding equipment.
Control of welding temperature and travel speed.
Weld fusion, penetration, uniformity, and final appearance.
Dimensional accuracy and assembly quality.
Final finishing and integrity of the welded joint.
Compliance with safety procedures.
