- Verified surface cleanliness, surface profile, dust contamination, soluble salt contamination and environmental conditions before coating application.
- Conducted and monitored WFT and DFT measurements for primer, intermediate and finish coating systems using calibrated instruments.
- Checked coating materials, batch numbers, shelf life, storage conditions, mixing ratios, induction time and pot life prior to application.
- Monitored coating application to ensure proper mixing, thinning, application technique, recoat interval and curing requirements.
- Performed holiday detection using wet sponge and high-voltage holiday detectors as applicable to the coating system.
- Witnessed adhesion testing and other required coating inspection tests in accordance with project specifications and applicable standards.
- Reviewed coating applicators' qualifications and monitored compliance with approved procedures and manufacturer recommendations.
- Raised and followed up RFIs, inspection reports, NCRs and other QA/QC documentation.
- Maintained daily inspection records, coating reports, DFT reports and relevant quality documentation.
- Coordinated with QC engineers, client representatives, coating contractors and site teams to resolve coating-related quality issues.
- Monitored repair and rework activities and ensured defective coating areas were properly prepared, recoated and accepted.
- Ensured all coating activities were completed in compliance with project specifications, approved ITPs, client requirements and applicable ISO/ASTM/SSPC/NACE standards.
