Duties and Responsibilities
• System Servicing: Responsible for servicing hydraulic accessories such as pumps, motors, and valves.
• Installation & Commissioning: Install, commission, and service hydraulic systems and components for industrial, mobile, and marine applications.
• Advanced Troubleshooting: Perform troubleshooting, servicing, and preventive maintenance of hydraulic power packs used in deck machinery and cargo handling equipment.
• System Diagnostics: Conduct troubleshooting and repair of various pumps and compressors, including centrifugal and positive displacement types.
• Precision Testing: Use precision tools and diagnostic equipment (e.g., flow meters, pressure gauges, and filtration units) to test and verify system performance.
• Technical Interpretation: Read, understand, and interpret hydraulic schematics, system diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure accurate diagnostics.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure flushing, filtration, and pressure testing of hydraulic pipes and hose assemblies before commissioning.
• Fluid & Pneumatic Systems: Manage fluid and pneumatic systems, including the sales, assembly, and maintenance of hoses and fittings.
• Equipment Inspection: Conduct site inspections to assess equipment condition and recommend necessary service or upgrade solutions.
• Heavy Equipment Maintenance: Perform lighting and maintenance of heavy hydraulic equipment such as Cranes, forklifts, oilfield equipment, construction equipment etc.
• Valve Maintenance: Maintain and repair fluid and gas flow control valves including gate, globe, butterfly, ball, and check valves.
• Support & Reliability: Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients to ensure minimal downtime and high system reliability.
• Inventory & Coordination: Manage stock maintenance, stores, and coordinate with the team to ensure delivery accuracy for customer requirements.
• Technical Documentation: Arrive at the Bill of Materials (BOM) for hydraulic systems and maintain detailed inspection records and reports.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to customer requirements and safety protocols specific to shipyard, oil & gas, and industrial operations.
• Deal with customer complaints appropriately and as per defined systems and also ensure that corrective and preventive actions are taken wherever required
• Ensure that prompt and timely deliveries are made by coordinating with the respective staffs
• Ensure proper tracking of DO and invoices are done.
• Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
• Any related activity assignment by the Line Manager / HOD
Qualifications :
Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Electrical and Electronical Engineering, or ITI or a University Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: Proven track record (Ranging from 4 to 14 years) in hydraulic field sales, quality, or production.
Skill sets
• Car driving ability handle customers.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office, Outlook, Excel etc.
• Ability to understand client's needs and present solutions
• Need to be self-learner and manage according to environment.
• Knowledge of hydraulic circuit design , root cause analysis , and ISO 9001:2015 internal auditing.
• Ability to make Strong decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent customer service skills
• Able to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
• Sound and accurate judgment and share correct information about hydraulic subject.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment with colleagues around the world and in multiple time zones.
