About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Engineer to join our engineering/projects team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the design, analysis, and supervision of structural steel works for industrial, agricultural, or infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Design and review structural steel drawings and calculations
Ensure compliance with local and international structural codes (AISC, SBC, Eurocode, etc.)
Coordinate with contractors, fabricators, and site teams during execution
Conduct site inspections and quality checks for structural steel installations
Review and approve shop drawings and fabrication details
Prepare technical reports and cost estimates related to structural works
Liaise with procurement on material specifications and vendor evaluation
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in structural steel engineering
Proficiency in structural design software (STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, or similar)
Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and erection practices
Familiarity with Saudi Building Code (SBC) and international standards
Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
Valid transferable iqama preferred (for candidates in KSA)
