We are looking for an experienced Construction Planning Engineer to join our team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating construction schedules while coordinating with project teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, baseline programs, and project timelines.
Prepare Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), master schedules, and detailed activity programs.
Monitor actual progress against planned progress and identify delays or schedule variances.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, procurement, and site teams to ensure timely project execution.
Track manpower, materials, equipment, and resource requirements against project schedules.
Monitor procurement lead times and subcontractor progress to minimize project delays.
Identify potential delays and assist in developing recovery and mitigation plans.
Prepare progress updates, look-ahead schedules, and performance reports.
Support project teams with Extension of Time (EOT), delay analysis, and claims documentation when required.
Assist in monitoring project productivity, cost progress, and overall project performance.
Ensure construction activities are properly sequenced and aligned with project milestones.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Planning Engineer in construction projects.
Experience in villa, residential, commercial, or high-rise building projects is preferred.
Strong knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, and project controls.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
Strong knowledge of MS Excel and project reporting.
Ability to understand construction drawings, project specifications, and work sequences.
Knowledge of procurement schedules, subcontractor coordination, and construction workflows.
Experience with progress monitoring, delay analysis, and EOT/claims support is an advantage.
Strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
Bahrain construction experience is preferred.
Must be locally available in Bahrain.
