Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, and other computer hardware.
Repair and replace defective computer components such as RAM, hard drives/SSDs, power supplies, motherboards, processors, cooling systems, and graphic cards.
Assemble and configure desktop computers according to customer requirements.
Install and configure Windows operating systems and required drivers.
Perform hardware upgrades, preventive maintenance, cleaning, and servicing.
Troubleshoot printers, monitors, keyboards, mice, networking devices, and other computer peripherals.
Diagnose hardware and software-related problems and provide appropriate solutions.
Install and configure basic computer applications and utilities.
Perform data backup, data transfer, and basic system recovery when required.
Test repaired computers and ensure they are functioning properly before delivery to customers.
Maintain proper records of repair jobs, spare parts, and equipment.
Assist customers in selecting suitable computer hardware and accessories.
Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the workshop and repair area.
Handle customer inquiries professionally and provide updates regarding repair status.
Follow company procedures related to repair, warranty, spare parts, and customer service.
Perform any other duties related to computer hardware and technical support as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Diploma, certificate, or equivalent qualification in Computer Hardware, IT, Electronics, or a related field.
3–5 years of relevant experience as a Computer Hardware Technician.
Strong practical knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware.
Good knowledge of Windows installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Experience in computer assembly, repair, upgrading, and maintenance.
Knowledge of printers, monitors, networking equipment, and computer peripherals.
Ability to identify hardware faults and replace defective components.
Good communication and customer-handling skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience working in a computer shop or IT repair center will be preferred.
