We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Procurement Administrator – Construction to support our procurement and purchasing activities. The ideal candidate should have experience in construction procurement, supplier coordination, purchase orders, quotations, and material delivery follow-ups.
Key Responsibilities
Handle daily procurement and purchasing activities for construction projects.
Prepare and process Purchase Requests, RFQs, POs/LPOs, GRNs, delivery notes, and invoices.
Request quotations from suppliers and prepare quotation comparison sheets.
Source construction materials, tools, equipment, MEP materials, and consumables.
Coordinate with suppliers regarding prices, availability, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
Follow up on pending orders and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
Maintain updated supplier/vendor records and procurement registers.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, site teams, storekeepers, accounts, and suppliers.
Monitor material requirements, open orders, delivery schedules, and stock availability.
Verify supplier invoices and delivery documents against purchase orders.
Maintain organized procurement files and prepare procurement status reports.
Assist in resolving issues related to delayed, incorrect, damaged, or incomplete deliveries.
Requirements
2–3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing administration, or a similar role.
Previous construction industry experience is preferred.
Good knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and purchasing procedures.
Experience handling POs/LPOs, RFQs, quotations, GRNs, invoices, and delivery documents.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Knowledge of ERP/procurement software is an advantage.
Strong communication, negotiation, coordination, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple suppliers, orders, and delivery schedules.
Bahrain/GCC construction experience is highly preferred.
Must be locally available in Bahrain.
