We are looking for an organized and experienced Construction Procurement Coordinator to support procurement and purchasing activities for construction projects. The successful candidate will coordinate with suppliers, site teams, project management, stores, and accounts to ensure construction materials are sourced at competitive prices and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily procurement requirements for construction projects.
Source construction materials, MEP materials, tools, equipment, and site consumables.
Request, collect, and compare supplier quotations.
Prepare and process RFQs, Purchase Requests, Purchase Orders (POs/LPOs), and comparison sheets.
Coordinate with suppliers regarding prices, availability, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive prices and suitable terms.
Follow up on pending orders and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, site teams, storekeepers, and accounts.
Verify delivered materials against purchase orders, specifications, and delivery documents.
Maintain supplier databases, procurement records, quotation files, purchase registers, and delivery trackers.
Monitor material requirements and outstanding purchase orders.
Assist with invoice verification and reconciliation with Accounts.
Prepare procurement reports and provide regular updates to management.
Requirements
2–4 years of relevant experience in procurement/purchasing, preferably in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction and MEP materials and Bahrain-based suppliers.
Experience handling RFQs, quotations, POs/LPOs, delivery notes, invoices, and procurement documentation.
Strong negotiation, communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple suppliers and urgent project requirements.
Bahrain/GCC construction experience is preferred.
Must be currently available in Bahrain.
Immediate joiners are strongly preferred.
Preferred Candidate
Candidates with experience working with construction contractors, fit-out companies, MEP companies, engineering companies, or building material suppliers will be given priority.
