We are looking for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor Engineer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost control, quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, valuations, variations, subcontractor payments, and commercial management throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
Monitor project costs, budgets, expenditures, and cash flow.
Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Prepare and verify interim payment applications and valuations.
Manage variations, change orders, and site instructions.
Review subcontract agreements, contracts, and commercial terms.
Prepare cost reports, commercial reports, and final accounts.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Conduct measurements and verify completed works on site.
Assist with claims, negotiations, and commercial documentation.
Maintain accurate records of project costs and supporting documents.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor / QS Engineer in construction projects.
Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, cost control, and construction contracts.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
Good knowledge of Excel and quantity surveying software/tools.
Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
GCC/Bahrain construction experience is preferred.
Must be currently available in Bahrain.
