ERA Projects is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor Engineer with a strong construction background. The successful candidate will be responsible for quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, cost control, valuations, variations, and commercial support for construction projects. These are also common responsibilities in current Bahrain Quantity Surveyor postings on Indeed.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, and cost plans.
Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings and specifications.
Conduct site measurements and verify completed quantities.
Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Monitor project costs, budgets, expenditures, and material usage.
Prepare interim valuations, payment applications, and final accounts.
Evaluate variations, change orders, and additional works.
Assist with tender preparation, procurement, and contract administration.
Prepare cost reports and maintain accurate commercial documentation.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, Accounts, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
3–7 years of relevant construction experience in Quantity Surveying/QS Engineering.
Strong knowledge of BOQs, quantity take-offs, estimation, costing, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
Good knowledge of construction materials, methods, and subcontractor pricing.
Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying/estimation software.
Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Bahrain/GCC construction experience is preferred or required depending on project needs.
Must be currently available in Bahrain.
Immediate joiner is strongly preferred.
Experience in villa, residential, commercial, high-rise, fit-out, or general building construction will be highly considered.
