Quantity Surveyor Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor Engineer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, BOQ preparation, cost control, and commercial management within the construction industry. These are common requirements in current Bahrain QS postings.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, and cost plans.
Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.
Conduct site measurements and verify completed quantities.
Monitor project costs, budgets, materials, and wastage.
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Prepare interim valuations and payment applications.
Evaluate variations, change orders, and additional works.
Monitor project expenditures and identify potential cost overruns.
Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and cost reconciliations.
Assist with final accounts, claims, and contract administration.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
Maintain accurate records of quantities, costs, variations, and commercial documents.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
3+ years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, estimation, costing, valuations, and variations.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Good knowledge of construction materials, labor costs, and subcontractor pricing.
Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD; QS/estimation software is an advantage.
Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Bahrain/GCC construction experience is preferred.
Must be currently available in Bahrain.
Immediate joiner is highly preferred.
