ERA Projects is looking for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in quantity surveying, cost control, estimation, BOQ preparation, valuations, variations, and commercial management. Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, and cost plans.
Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.
Conduct site measurements and verify completed quantities.
Monitor project costs, budgets, materials, and wastage.
Prepare interim payment applications, valuations, and progress claims.
Evaluate variations, change orders, and additional works.
Review subcontractor measurements, quotations, and payment applications.
Compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
Assist with tendering, procurement, and commercial evaluations.
Monitor project expenditures and identify potential cost overruns.
Prepare monthly cost and commercial reports.
Assist with final accounts, claims, and cost reconciliation.
Maintain accurate records of measurements, costs, variations, contracts, and payments.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement, Accounts, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
3–7 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of BOQ, quantity take-offs, estimation, costing, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Good knowledge of construction materials, labor costs, and subcontractor pricing.
Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial procedures.
Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD; QS/estimation software is an advantage.
Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Bahrain/GCC construction experience is preferred.
Must be locally available in Bahrain.
Immediate joiner is strongly preferred.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in villa projects, high-rise buildings, residential/commercial construction, fit-out, civil works, or general contracting will be highly considered.
