We are looking for an experienced Construction Planning Engineer with a strong background in building and construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, reporting, and coordination with site and project teams. Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and construction scheduling is required. These requirements align with current Planning Engineer roles advertised in Bahrain.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6.
Prepare baseline programs, WBS, milestones, and project execution schedules.
Monitor actual construction progress against approved schedules.
Prepare weekly, monthly, and look-ahead schedules.
Identify delays, critical activities, risks, and schedule deviations.
Conduct critical path and progress analysis.
Prepare recovery and mitigation schedules when required.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, QS, MEP teams, procurement, and subcontractors.
Track manpower, materials, equipment, and procurement activities against project schedules.
Prepare progress reports, S-curves, dashboards, and schedule updates.
Assist with delay analysis and Extension of Time (EOT) documentation.
Attend progress meetings and provide planning updates to management.
Maintain accurate planning records and project documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in the construction industry.
Strong experience in building, villa, commercial, or high-rise construction projects.
Excellent knowledge of Primavera P6; MS Project is an advantage.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, WBS, baseline schedules, and critical path.
Experience in progress monitoring, schedule updating, and recovery planning.
Ability to read construction drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
Good knowledge of MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
Bahrain/GCC construction experience is highly preferred.
Strong communication, coordination, analytical, and reporting skills.
Must be currently available in Bahrain.
