We are looking for an organized and experienced Construction Procurement Coordinator to coordinate purchasing and procurement activities for construction projects. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, procurement procedures, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate procurement activities from purchase requisition to delivery.
Source construction materials, MEP materials, tools, equipment, and site consumables.
Request and compare supplier quotations.
Prepare RFQs, purchase orders (POs), quotation comparison sheets, and procurement documents.
Coordinate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
Negotiate competitive prices and commercial terms with suppliers.
Follow up on pending orders and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, stores, accounts, and suppliers.
Verify delivered materials against POs, specifications, and delivery documents.
Maintain supplier databases, purchase records, quotations, and delivery trackers.
Assist with invoice verification and procurement reports.
Identify reliable suppliers and support cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements
2–4 years of experience in procurement/purchasing, preferably in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction and MEP materials.
Experience dealing with Bahrain-based suppliers is highly preferred.
Knowledge of RFQs, quotations, POs/LPOs, delivery notes, GRNs, and invoices.
Strong negotiation, communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple suppliers and urgent project requirements.
Must be locally available in Bahrain.
Immediate joiners are strongly preferred.
Preferred Candidates
Candidates with experience in construction contractors, MEP companies, fit-out companies, engineering companies, or building-material suppliers in Bahrain will be given priority.
