• Plan and distribute daily fabrication work among fabricators, welders,
fitters and helpers.
• Supervise cutting, fit-up, welding, grinding, assembly and finishing
activities as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Read and understand fabrication drawings, dimensions and basic welding
requirements.
• Check fabrication dimensions, alignment, level, fit-up and overall
workmanship during production.
• Supervise fabrication and assembly of tank bodies, compactor bodies,
chassis mounting structures, brackets, supports, frames and other
components.
• Monitor welding activities and check fit-up, root gap, joint preparation,
welding sequence and weld appearance.
• Coordinate with the QC/Quality Department for inspection, correction and
final acceptance of fabricated components.
• Identify and rectify fabrication, welding, dimensional and assembly defects
before final inspection.
• Ensure required materials, welding consumables, tools and manpower are
available for daily production activities.
• Supervise modification and repair work based on inspection findings and
production requirements.
Ensure materials are available as per fabrication requirements.
• Identify fabrication problems and coordinate for corrective
action.
• Maintain daily work progress and production records.
• Ensure safe working practices and proper housekeeping at the
workplace.
