About the Role
[]Company Name] is hiring an experienced Side Boom Operator for our pipeline construction projects in []Region]. You will operate side boom tractors to lift, position, and lower pipe safely and accurately. Candidates must have a transferable Iqama and proven previous experience as a side boom operator.
Mandatory Requirements
• Valid, transferable Iqama,
• Previous experience: Minimum []3-5] years as a side boom operator on pipeline projects (experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is preferred)
• Proof of experience: Ability to provide experience certificates, references, or previous employer details
• Valid Saudi driving license and heavy equipment operator license or certification
• Ability to pass a trade test and medical fitness check
• Ability to join immediately
Responsibilities
• Operate side boom equipment Model (Volvo: P4608 & Shantui SP90Y) to lift, carry, and lower pipe sections into trenches
• Work with the pipe crew, welders, and foreman to align, position, and support pipe during welding and tie-ins
• Follow hand signals and radio communication from riggers, spotters, and ground crew
• Perform daily pre-shift inspections, greasing, and basic maintenance
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep equipment hours and inspection records
• Follow load charts, rigging procedures, and site HSE plans
• Maintain safe clearances around trenches, utilities, overhead lines, and personnel
• Attend toolbox talks and safety briefings
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience on []oil and gas / water / utility] pipeline projects in Saudi Arabia
• []Saudi Aramco / client]-approved operator experience or safety induction
• OSHA, NCCCO, or other recognized equipment certification
• Basic English or Arabic for communication on site
Working Conditions
