Duties & Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Supervision
❖ Lead and supervise a team of mechanics, fitters, welders, and helpers on daily
mechanical activities.
❖ Assign tasks, set daily priorities, and monitor progress to meet project schedules and
production targets.
❖ Train, coach, and mentor junior mechanics and new hires on tools, procedures, and
safety practices.
❖ Conduct toolbox talks, roll calls, and briefings; ensure all crew members understand

Planning, Coordination & Execution
❖ Coordinate with project engineers, planners, and other disciplines (civil, electrical,
instrumentation) to sequence mechanical work.
❖ Review work packs, drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, and specifications before starting
work.
❖ Prepare and follow job plans, method statements, and ITPs; ensure all hold points
and inspections are respected.
❖ Monitor man-hours, material usage, and productivity; report daily progress and any
delays to supervisors.
Hands-On Mechanical Work
❖ Perform and supervise installation, alignment, and commissioning of pumps,
compressors, turbines, valves, piping, and structural supports.
❖ Carry out troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and repair of rotating and static
equipment.
