We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor Engineer to join our construction team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, BOQ preparation, procurement, and commercial control for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and material measurements.
Analyze architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to determine project quantities.
Prepare quotations, pricing comparisons, and cost breakdowns.
Monitor project costs, budgets, variations, and overall commercial performance.
Review subcontractor and supplier quotations and assist with negotiations.
Prepare and verify interim payment applications, invoices, and subcontractor payments.
Track variations, additional works, and prepare supporting documentation.
Assist with contract administration, claims, and final accounts.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Maintain accurate records of quantities, costs, purchase orders, invoices, and project documentation.
Prepare regular cost and commercial reports for management.
Ensure all quantity surveying activities are carried out accurately and within project requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Relevant experience in construction projects, preferably villas, residential buildings, or high-rise projects.
Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, estimation, and cost control.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
Good knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and pricing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying/cost-control tools.
Strong analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Experience in Bahrain is preferred.
Must be locally available in Bahrain.
