We are looking for an experienced Construction Planning Engineer to support the planning, scheduling, monitoring, and progress control of construction projects, including villas and high-rise buildings.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, baseline programs, and project timelines.
Prepare project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and sequence construction activities.
Monitor actual progress against planned schedules and identify delays and variances.
Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, procurement, and other departments to ensure timely project execution.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Track manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor productivity.
Monitor procurement activities and material lead times against the project schedule.
Identify potential delays and assist in developing recovery and mitigation plans.
Support preparation of Extension of Time (EOT), delay analysis, and related project documentation.
Attend coordination and progress meetings and provide updates on project status.
Maintain accurate project records, schedules, progress updates, and planning documentation.
Ensure project activities are aligned with approved drawings, specifications, and construction programs.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Planning Engineer / Construction Planning Engineer in building construction projects.
Experience in villa and/or high-rise building projects is preferred.
Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, progress monitoring, and project controls.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
Good knowledge of Excel and project reporting.
Understanding of procurement schedules, resource planning, delays, and recovery programs.
Knowledge of EOT, delay analysis, and FIDIC-related requirements is an advantage.
Strong coordination and communication skills.
Experience in Bahrain is preferred.
Must be locally available in Bahrain.
