We are looking for an experienced Project Planning Engineer to join our construction team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in construction planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and project coordination, preferably with experience in villa and high-rise building projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, baseline programs, and construction work plans.
Prepare project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar planning software.
Develop WBS, activity sequencing, logic networks, and resource-loaded schedules.
Monitor actual project progress against approved baseline schedules.
Identify delays, critical activities, and potential schedule risks and recommend corrective actions.
Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, procurement, and other departments to ensure timely project execution.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Track manpower, materials, equipment, procurement activities, and subcontractor progress.
Monitor project milestones, critical path activities, and overall completion targets.
Assist in preparation of recovery schedules, revised programs, and catch-up plans when required.
Maintain accurate records of project progress and schedule updates.
Support project management in analyzing delays, extensions of time (EOT), and schedule-related claims.
Prepare progress presentations and planning reports for management and project meetings.
Coordinate construction activities across architectural, structural, MEP, and other project disciplines.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Planning Engineer / Project Planning Engineer in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, and project controls.
Experience with Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
Good understanding of construction sequences, procurement lead times, and subcontractor activities.
Knowledge of progress measurement, critical path analysis, and schedule monitoring.
Experience with villas, residential buildings, high-rise buildings, or similar construction projects is preferred.
Experience in Bahrain is preferred / an advantage.
Strong communication, coordination, reporting, and analytical skills.
Must be locally available in Bahrain.
