We are looking for an experienced MEP Construction Engineer to join our construction team in Bahrain. The candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating MEP works on construction projects, ensuring that installation activities are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate MEP construction activities including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and related building services.
Review and interpret MEP drawings, shop drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documents.
Coordinate MEP works with architectural, structural, and civil works to avoid site conflicts and delays.
Monitor subcontractors, technicians, and site teams to ensure work is completed as per project requirements.
Review material submittals, technical submissions, method statements, and shop drawings.
Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project teams.
Monitor installation, testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover of MEP systems.
Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with approved drawings and project specifications.
Identify site issues, technical problems, and potential delays and coordinate appropriate solutions.
Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and progress reports related to MEP activities.
Assist with material planning, manpower allocation, procurement requirements, and project coordination.
Ensure compliance with Bahrain construction regulations, safety requirements, and applicable engineering standards.
Support snagging, testing, commissioning, and final project handover activities.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, MEP Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in MEP construction projects, preferably involving villas, residential buildings, or high-rise buildings.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and other MEP systems.
Ability to read and understand MEP drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
Good knowledge of construction site coordination and project execution.
Experience coordinating subcontractors and site teams.
Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of Bahrain construction standards and safety requirements is an advantage.
Experience in Bahrain is preferred.
Must be locally available in Bahrain.
