Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct site inspection, monitoring and checking the hand tools, & Power tools
equipment and other attached documents before commencing of work.
• Ensure toolbox talk is connected before the start of every work assigned.
• Inspection of work sites regularly for close-in the job observation to guide and correct
the workforce to eliminate unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
• Monitoring the job site measure/critical activities such as welding, excavation,
scaffolding, lifting/erection procedures and other hazardous jobs.
• A monitor work permit shall be obtained prior to any work commencing, and work shall
be carried out in accordance with specific measures itemised on the permit.
• Checking and identifying all hazards in the working area, escape route in case of
emergencies and maintaining good housekeeping after the job completion.
• Make sure the basic welfare facilities at the site, like a basic first aider, Shaded Rest
Area, Cold water, emergency vehicles, toilets, full PPE, emergency numbers with all
workforce and emergency evacuation procedure, etc.
• To ensure all required signboards, notices, posters and other safety-related literature is
properly displayed for employees’ information.
