Why families are looking at this project
A regular apartment doesn't change as your parents age. A senior community tries to. The Aureva is DLF's first branded senior housing project in Gurgaon, and it sits inside the DLF Arbour township on Golf Course Extension Road.
The project has 172 four-bedroom homes in a single tower. Each home measures roughly 4,180 to 4,200 sq. ft. That's big, which means a parent can keep a spare room for a caregiver or a visiting grandchild without feeling cramped.
What "independent living" really means
This point trips up many families. The Aureva is not a nursing home. Your parents own or rent a full apartment and run their own day. The community adds support around them, such as an on-site medical facility, emergency alarms, and a clubhouse.
If your mother needs help with bathing or medicines every day, this isn't the right fit today. It suits parents who are active now and want a safer setup for later.
What to check before you visit
Bring this short list to the sales office:
Age rules for residents, and whether you can stay over
Who runs the on-site medical facility, and its hours
What the panic alarm connects to, and how fast help arrives
Step-free entries, wide doors, and bathroom grab-bar provisions
Monthly maintenance, and how it may rise
Get every answer in writing. A promise made in a brochure won't help you later.
Distance matters more than you think
Your parents will be happier if you can visit easily. Sector 63 links to Golf Course Road, Sohna Road, the Southern Peripheral Road and NH-48, so you have more than one way in. Listings place major hospitals such as Artemis, Fortis, Max, Paras and Medanta within about 25 minutes. Drive it yourself at rush hour before you trust that number.
Talk about money early
Broker listings report prices of roughly ₹11.7 crore to ₹13.4 crore. Possession is listed for 2033, which is a long wait. Ask yourself where your parents will live until then, and how their needs might change by that date.
If you want a second source on layouts and pricing, this guide to the senior living project in Sector 63 Gurgaon is a good place to compare notes.
The honest bottom line
The Aureva makes sense if your parents are healthy, want to stay independent, and value a big private home near good hospitals. It makes less sense if they need daily nursing care, or if the price would strain your family's finances.
Visit together. Watch how your parents react to the space. Their comfort should decide this, not the brochure.
