Key Responsibilities
• Prepare fire protection system designs (sprinkler, clean agent, fire alarm, detection) in line with NFPA standards and local Civil Defence requirements
• Develop detailed BOQs, take-offs, and cost estimates from tender drawings and specifications
• Review RFQs/RFPs and coordinate with vendors for pricing and technical submittals
• Liaise with project management and sales teams on technical clarifications
• Ensure designs meet applicable codes (NFPA, Civil Defence, local authority requirements)
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Fire Protection Engineering or related MEP discipline
• 3–7 years' experience in MEP/fire protection design and estimation
• Sound working knowledge of fire protection systems (sprinklers, clean agent suppression, fire alarm/detection)
• NFPA certification (CFPS or equivalent) strongly preferred
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit and estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift)
• Familiarity with Gulf region Civil Defence approval processes is an advantage
