A Procurement and logistics Engineer manages the purchasing of technical materials, equipment and services while optimizing the supply chain, shipping and delivery schedules for engineering and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Sourcing : Evaluate and select suppliers for specialized equipment, bulk materials and components.
- Contract Negotiations : Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines and commercial terms with vendors.
- Logistics Coordination : Monitor shipping, transport and inventory levels to ensure items arrive on site safety and on schedule.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Coordinate with Project, design and quality control teams to verify that purchased materials much technical specifications.
Education Qualifications - A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial Engineering or supply chain management
Requirements - Proficiency in ERP systems like (SAP or Oracle) and strong knowledge of local and International Contracting. In Saudi Arabia, registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is often required.
Experience - 15-20 years Gulf experience
