As the longest focal length in this Kyptec Automation® SWIR series, the 50 MM version provides the narrowest angular field of view under equivalent sensor and working-distance conditions. This characteristic is useful when the optical design requires greater camera stand-off distance, increased image scale or more concentrated coverage of the target area.
High-quality SWIR imaging requires the complete optical path to operate effectively within the camera's spectral response range. A purpose-designed 900–1700 nm lens helps maintain useful transmission and image formation through the wavelength region used by common SWIR-sensitive imaging sensors.
The F1.4 aperture provides high light throughput, which can help maximize the available SWIR signal reaching the sensor. Combined with the 2/3-inch image format and 2 MP resolving specification, the 50 MM lens provides a strong long-focal-length option for engineers developing compact, high-performance SWIR camera systems.
