Job Title: Lead Operations / Operations Incharge – HVAC & MEP Projects

Reports To: Operations Manager / General Manager

Job Purpose: To lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of HVAC & MEP projects by ensuring safety, quality, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction while managing engineering teams, subcontractors, and project resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for end-to-end execution and operations of HVAC & MEP projects, from project award through completion and handover.
• Review project scope, contract, specifications, drawings, BOQ, schedules, and client requirements and establish execution strategy.
• Prepare and monitor project planning, manpower planning, production schedules, material schedules, and execution programs.
• Coordinate engineering, documentation, procurement, duct manufacturing, site execution, testing & commissioning, and handover activities.
• Manage and monitor HVAC duct & accessories manufacturing, including production planning, material availability, quality control, and delivery schedules.
• Plan and control procurement of GI/SS sheets, insulation, dampers, accessories, equipment, consumables, and other MEP materials.
• Coordinate with design/engineering teams for shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, MIR/WIR, RFIs, and technical approvals.
• Ensure timely material procurement and delivery to site in line with project priorities and approved schedules.
• Supervise site execution of HVAC ducting, piping, equipment installation, insulation, supports, dampers, and associated MEP works.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Monitor project progress, productivity, manpower, material consumption, and equipment utilization and take corrective action where required.
• Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project standards, SMACNA requirements, QA/QC procedures, and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate testing, balancing, testing & commissioning, inspections, snag clearance, and final project handover.
• Monitor project costs, wastage, procurement costs, subcontractor performance, and overall operational efficiency.
• Prepare and review daily/weekly/monthly progress reports, procurement status, production reports, and management dashboards.
• Identify project risks, delays, material shortages, and resource constraints and implement recovery plans.
• Manage and coordinate production and site manpower, including supervisors, engineers, technicians, fabricators, installers, and subcontractors.
• Ensure proper control of project documentation, as-built drawings, inspection records, test reports, O&M manuals, and handover documents.
• Maintain effective coordination between Factory → Procurement → Logistics → Site → QA/QC → Testing & Commissioning.
• Drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, delivery performance, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure projects are completed safely, within approved budget, as per schedule, and in accordance with contractual requirements.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• MBA or Project Management qualification is an advantage.
• OSHA/NEBOSH certification is an advantage.

Experience
• 7-10 years of experience in HVAC & MEP projects.
• Minimum 3-5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in industrial, commercial, healthcare, infrastructure, or oil & gas projects.
• Saudi Arabia experience DESIRED.
