About the Position
We are looking for an experienced Senior Estimation Expert with strong expertise in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical works to join our Estimation & Tendering team in Saudi Arabia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates, BOQs, rate analyses, tender submissions and commercial proposals while maintaining a strong understanding of Saudi construction costs, suppliers, subcontractors, materials and market rates.
Key Responsibilities
Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs and scope of work.
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical works.
Develop detailed BOQs, rate analyses, unit rates and pricing build-ups.
Estimate materials, manpower, equipment, subcontractors, overheads and other project costs.
Obtain, compare and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Maintain and update databases of Saudi market prices and unit rates.
Prepare competitive technical and commercial tender submissions.
Identify exclusions, assumptions, risks, opportunities and potential cost impacts.
Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Planning, Project Management and Commercial teams.
Conduct value engineering and cost optimization studies.
Prepare tender comparison sheets and support subcontractor/vendor negotiations.
Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits and tender clarification meetings.
Review and price variations, additional works and change orders when required.
Prepare cost summaries, bid analysis and management reports.
Support post-tender negotiations and successful handover of awarded projects to the execution team.
Ensure all estimates comply with project specifications, client requirements and applicable Saudi standards.

Candidate Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field.
8–12+ years of relevant experience in estimation, tendering and pre-contract activities.
Strong experience with Saudi Arabia/GCC construction projects.
Proven ability to independently estimate Civil, Mechanical and Electrical scopes.
Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, rate analysis and cost build-up.
Good knowledge of Saudi supplier, subcontractor and material pricing.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project execution.
Experience in contractor/EPC environments is preferred.
Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work under tight tender deadlines.

Candidates should be proficient in:
Microsoft Excel – Advanced
AutoCAD
CCS Candy / Candy Estimation
CostX or similar estimation software
Primavera P6 – advantage
Revit / Civil 3D – advantage
ERP / Estimation systems – advantage
Preferred Saudi Market Experience
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:
Saudi Aramco projects
SABIC / industrial projects
Infrastructure projects
Commercial and residential buildings
Oil & Gas / EPC projects
Government and mega projects
Saudi Vision 2030 projects
Knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC), client specifications and applicable Saudi standards will be an advantage. Current Saudi postings also commonly emphasize Saudi/GCC experience and, for some roles, Saudi Council of Engineers registration.
