What Is Public Space Management And Why Does It Matter For Modern Cities?

Public space management is essential for keeping parks, streets, plazas, waterfronts, and other shared areas clean, safe, accessible, and functional. Effective public space management brings together maintenance and operations, waste management, green area upkeep, infrastructure maintenance, safety and security, environmental sustainability, and community engagement. Modern public spaces also benefit from technology integration, performance monitoring, and structured facility management to maintain consistent service standards.
