Responsible for delivering engaging English Language and Literature lessons to high school students, supporting academic achievement, critical thinking, communication, and preparation for further education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
* Teach reading, writing, grammar, literature, speaking, and critical analysis.
* Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs in an inclusive classroom.
* Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
* Prepare students for examinations, projects, and higher education requirements.
* Maintain accurate academic records and contribute to reports and parent meetings.
* Support extracurricular, literacy, and school-wide activities.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, SENCOs, and school leadership.
* Maintain high standards of safeguarding, behaviour, and student wellbeing.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field, with relevant high school teaching experience. Strong communication, classroom management, and technology skills are essential.
