Appointed Person – Lifting Operations AMAALA Utilities PPP Project
- Successfully planned, coordinated, and controlled critical, complex, heavy, and offshore lifting operations across major AMAALA infrastructure and utility works.
- Managed lifting activities involving Intake Head Tower components, MTBM, DMPF tanks, heavy precast elements, battery containers, pipeline structures, and SWRO-related equipment.
- Developed and reviewed detailed critical lift plans, lifting studies, method statements, risk assessments, and lifting permits.
- Performed detailed crane selection and configuration, including load-chart verification, crane utilization, radius, boom configuration, COG, lifting points, ground conditions, and site constraints.
- Engineered and verified rigging arrangements, lifting accessories, lifting points, crane capacities, and lifting methodologies for complex loads.
- Coordinated directly with EPC, Client, Consultant, Construction, Engineering, HSE, Crane Operators, Riggers, and subcontractors to achieve safe and controlled lifting operations.
- Led pre-lift meetings, toolbox talks, site verification, inspections, and lifting coordination for high-risk activities.
- Controlled exclusion zones, lifting paths, clearances, communication systems, access requirements, and interfaces with simultaneous construction activities.
- Maintained control of lifting operations from initial planning and engineering review through execution, monitoring, and close-out.
- Exercised professional authority to stop or suspend lifting operations when site conditions or execution deviated from the approved lifting methodology.
