We are looking for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team in Bahrain. The successful candidate will be responsible for project cost management, quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, variations, subcontractor payments, and commercial control throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and project budgets.
Analyze architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to determine quantities and material requirements.
Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Monitor project costs, commitments, variations, and expenditure against the approved budget.
Prepare and review interim payment applications, payment certificates, and final accounts.
Manage and evaluate variations, claims, and additional works.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Maintain accurate records of quantities, costs, contracts, and commercial documentation.
Assist with contract administration and ensure compliance with project requirements.
Prepare regular cost reports and commercial updates for management.
Support the project team in identifying potential cost savings and commercial risks.
Conduct site measurements and verify completed works for payment purposes.
Ensure all commercial activities are properly documented and tracked.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Project Quantity Surveyor in construction projects.
Strong knowledge of BOQ, quantity take-off, estimation, costing, variations, claims, and final accounts.
Good understanding of construction contracts and subcontractor management.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
Strong knowledge of MS Excel and quantity surveying software/tools.
Good communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Experience in Bahrain is preferred.
Candidates must be locally available in Bahrain.
