Quantity Surveyor Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor Engineer to join our construction team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in quantity surveying, estimation, BOQ preparation, cost control, valuations, variations, subcontractor payments, and commercial documentation.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, and project budgets.
Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings and specifications.
Conduct site measurements and verify completed quantities.
Monitor project costs, budgets, material quantities, and wastage.
Prepare interim valuations, payment applications, and progress claims.
Evaluate variations, change orders, additional works, and site instructions.
Review subcontractor measurements, quotations, and payment applications.
Prepare comparison statements for subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Assist with tendering, procurement, and commercial evaluations.
Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets and identify potential cost overruns.
Prepare monthly cost reports and commercial documentation.
Assist with final accounts, claims, cost reconciliation, and contract administration.
Maintain accurate records of quantities, measurements, costs, variations, contracts, and payments.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, Accounts, Consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
3–5+ years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, estimation, costing, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Good knowledge of construction materials, labour costs, subcontractor pricing, and market rates.
Experience with subcontractor payments, tendering, and commercial documentation.
Good knowledge of construction contracts and commercial procedures.
Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD; QS/estimation software experience is an advantage.
Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Bahrain construction experience is preferred.
Must be currently available in Bahrain.
Immediate joiner is preferred.
Preferred Experience
Experience in villa, residential, commercial, high-rise, civil, fit-out, or general building construction projects will be an advantage.
