We are looking for an experienced Construction Planning Engineer to join our team in Bahrain. The candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating construction schedules and ensuring projects are progressing according to approved plans and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, baseline programs, and project work plans.
Prepare WBS, CPM schedules, master programs, and detailed activity schedules.
Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify delays, variances, and critical activities.
Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, procurement, and other departments to maintain project timelines.
Track manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor progress against planned requirements.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and schedule updates.
Analyze delays and assist in preparing recovery programs and mitigation plans.
Monitor procurement and material lead times to ensure timely availability for construction activities.
Assist with EOT, delay analysis, claims, and project documentation when required.
Track project milestones, productivity, and overall progress.
Attend site and coordination meetings and provide planning-related updates.
Maintain accurate project schedules and planning records.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Planning Engineer in construction projects.
Strong knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, and project controls.
Experience with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
Good knowledge of CPM, WBS, resource planning, progress tracking, and delay analysis.
Experience with construction projects such as buildings, villas, commercial projects, or high-rise developments.
Strong knowledge of MS Excel and project reporting.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Experience in Bahrain construction projects is preferred.
Must be locally available in Bahrain.
