We are looking for an experienced Furniture Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in estimating costs for custom and/or commercial furniture projects, including materials, labour, production, and installation.
Key Responsibilities
Review furniture drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements.
Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for furniture projects.
Calculate quantities and costs of materials, hardware, finishes, labor, and installation.
Obtain and compare supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
Coordinate with design, production, procurement, and sales teams.
Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality requirements.
Review project changes and prepare revised estimates when required.
Maintain accurate records of estimates, quotations, and costing data.
Assist with project budgeting and cost control.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Furniture Estimator or in a similar estimating/costing role.
Good knowledge of furniture materials such as MDF, plywood, solid wood, veneer, laminates, hardware, fabrics, and finishes.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and furniture specifications.
Strong understanding of furniture manufacturing processes and installation.
Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Excel and relevant estimating/ERP software.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Furniture Manufacturing, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
Experience with custom-made, hospitality, residential, or commercial furniture projects.
Knowledge of local suppliers, material pricing, and production costs.
