We are looking for an experienced and skilled FRP/GRP Laminator / Fabricator to join our fabrication team for industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform FRP/GRP hand lay-up, lamination, fabrication, repair, and finishing works as per approved drawings and project requirements.
Fabricate FRP/GRP tanks, vessels, pipes, fittings, ducts, covers, supports, and other FRP/GRP components.
Prepare molds, surfaces, fiberglass materials, resin, catalyst, tools, and equipment before starting fabrication.
Carry out proper cutting, grinding, trimming, fitting, surface preparation, and cleaning of FRP/GRP components.
Measure and cut fiberglass mat, chopped strand mat, woven roving, surface tissue, and other reinforcement materials according to the required laminate sequence.
Mix and apply resin, catalyst/hardener, pigments, and other chemicals in the correct proportions and according to the required application procedure.
Perform proper resin application, fiberglass placement, rolling, consolidation, and air bubble removal to achieve a good-quality laminate.
Follow the required lamination sequence and laminate thickness for tanks, vessels, piping, and other components.
Carry out FRP/GRP pipe fabrication and jointing, including flanges, elbows, reducers, tees, nozzles, and other fittings.
Fabricate and install FRP/GRP flanges, nozzles, covers, manways, supports, and connections.
Perform FRP/GRP repair works, including grinding, rebuilding, re-lamination, filling, and finishing of damaged or defective areas.
Carry out trimming, grinding, sanding, polishing, and final finishing of fabricated components.
Ensure proper curing of laminate before demolding, handling, transportation, testing, or installation.
Check dimensions, thickness, alignment, surface condition, and general workmanship during fabrication.
Assist with leak testing, pressure testing, inspection, and final quality checks of FRP/GRP equipment and piping.
Carry out FRP/GRP installation and modification works at project sites when required.
Work closely with fabricators, welders, pipe fitters, and project/site supervisors to complete fabrication activities.
Identify and report laminate defects such as delamination, dry spots, air bubbles, cracks, pinholes, poor bonding, or insufficient thickness.
Maintain proper handling and storage of fiberglass, resin, catalyst, solvents, and other FRP/GRP materials.
Maintain clean and organized work areas and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained.
Follow approved drawings, method statements, quality procedures, and HSE requirements at all times.
Use appropriate PPE and follow safe working practices when handling resins, chemicals, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
Perform other FRP/GRP fabrication and installation duties assigned by the Fabrication Supervisor or Project Engineer.
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on experience in FRP/GRP fabrication and lamination.
Strong practical knowledge of hand lay-up and fiberglass lamination techniques.
Experience with FRP/GRP tanks, vessels, piping, fittings, and industrial equipment.
Good knowledge of fiberglass mat, woven roving, resin, catalyst, surface tissue, and other FRP materials.
Ability to understand basic fabrication drawings, dimensions, and laminate specifications.
Experience with FRP/GRP pipe jointing and fitting works will be an advantage.
Ability to work independently and as part of a fabrication team.
Willingness to work in workshop and project/site environments.
Good safety awareness and ability to follow company HSE requirements.
