Job Description for QC-Inspector
Key responsibilities:
• Responsible for inspecting and verifying pipeline construction activities to ensure that all materials, workmanship, fabrication, installation, testing, and documentation comply with approved drawings, project specifications, ITPs, applicable codes, and client requirements.
• Knowledge of international codes and standards including ASME B31.3, B31.1, B31.4, B31.8, ASME Section IX, ASME Section II-C, API 1104, and API 5L, with practical application in pipeline, process piping, and fabrication projects.
• Extensive experience in welding processes such as SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW, and GMAW, with capability to monitor welding process, control weld quality, and ensure compliance with WPS and project specifications.
• Hands-on experience in NDT methods including UT, RT, MT, and PT (ASNT Level II), with ability to review, interpret, and coordinate NDT activities in line with project requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Experience in coating and painting inspection, ensuring full compliance with client (ADNOC) specifications, and approved ITPs.
• Experience in inspection and quality control activities including WPS/PQR qualification, welder qualification (WQT), fit-up and alignment checks, in-process welding inspection, PWHT monitoring, and hydrotesting, ensuring full compliance with ADNOC requirements, applicable codes, and project procedures.
• Proficient in preparation and control of quality documentation including ITPs, RFIs, test packs, welding history books, final dossiers, and NCR management, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and project compliance.
• Coordinate with Construction, Welding, NDT, Coating, Engineering, Survey, and HSE teams.
• ADNOC approved, CSWIP 3.1, ASNT Level-II.
The candidates shall be a graduate engineer in Mechanical Engineering, with 5 to 6 years of relevant experience, software skills, strong written and spoken English for documentation & client responses.
