1. Purpose of Request
We reques for one (1) CNC Facing Machine Technician to operate and maintain the CNC facing machine and support the machining activities in the production department.
The technician will be responsible for safe and efficient machine operation, component setup, tool changes, dimensional inspection, and maintaining the required production quality and productivity.
2. Key Responsibilities
Operate CNC facing machine safely and efficiently.
Perform machine setup and component loading/unloading.
Read and understand engineering drawings and machining requirements.
Set cutting tools, inserts, offsets and machining parameters.
Carry out facing, turning and related machining operations as required.
Check component dimensions using vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges and other measuring instruments.
Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface-finish requirements.
Identify machining defects and take corrective action.
Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication and basic maintenance.
Monitor tool condition and replace worn/damaged tools or inserts.
Maintain daily production and machine-operation records.
Follow approved machining procedures, safety requirements and quality standards.
Coordinate with the Production, QC and Maintenance teams.
Minimize machine downtime, tool wastage and material rejection.
3. Required Qualification & Experience
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Machining discipline preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant CNC machine operating experience.
Experience in CNC turning/facing operations is preferred.
Ability to read mechanical drawings.
Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, speeds and feeds.
Knowledge of basic dimensional inspection techniques.
CNC programming/editing knowledge will be an added advantage.
Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
