Control & Instrumentation Engineer – Dataloggers / Telemetry (5–9 Years) – Riyadh

We are hiring a Control & Instrumentation Engineer to own the configuration, programming and settings of dataloggers and connected instrumentation across a large Kingdom-wide network of remote monitoring stations, from first configuration at installation through in-service changes and firmware management.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, test and maintain the standard datalogger program: measurement channels, scan rates, averaging periods and output tables
Configure sensor scaling, multipliers, offsets and calibration coefficients and update them when instruments are calibrated or exchanged
Maintain station time synchronization and timestamp integrity across the fleet
Configure station communications (cellular modem, APN, IP, ports, scheduled call-in) and verify data delivery to central servers
Commission logger and instrumentation at new stations: channel verification, plausibility checks and first data transmission
Maintain strict version control and a controlled change process for all logger programs and configuration files
Manage logger and modem firmware testing and controlled roll-out
Remotely diagnose station faults (communications, channel errors, implausible readings, memory and power issues) and direct field action
Work with O&M and Data/IT teams on data quality, ingestion and validation
Maintain the configuration register, SOPs and commissioning checklists
Train field technicians on logger connection, diagnostics and safe configuration handling
Support pre-deployment staging, calibration programme and audit / third-party verification
