Core Responsibilities:

• Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Calculate initial project costs, labor hours, and resource needs using current market rates.
• Quantity Take-Offs: Measure and extract material quantities from blue-prints, 2D drawings, or 3D BIM models.
• Bill of Quantities (BOQ): Prepare itemized lists of materials and operations required for tendering.
• Tendering and Procurement: Evaluate subcontractor bids, prepare tender packages, and negotiate supplier contracts.
• Cost Control and Monitoring: Track variations, manage project cash flow, and forecast expenses to prevent budget overruns.
• Contract Administration: Handle claims, valuations, and payment certifications under standard contracts like FIDIC
• Risk & Value Engineering: Identify potential project risks, cost-saving alternatives, and compliance with local engineering and safety
standards.


Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Experience: 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in construction, contracting, oil & gas, or industrial plant estimation.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong reading comprehension of engineering drawings, familiarity with civil materials/mechanical
components, and understanding of standard maintenance practices.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with cost-estimating databases, Excel modeling, and industry-specific takeoff or ERP tools.
