Overall Laboratory Management
Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation and management of the Site Laboratory.
Ensure that all laboratory activities are carried out in accordance with the approved project specifications, applicable standards, approved procedures, and quality requirements.
Ensure the laboratory is properly organized, adequately staffed, and operational at all times as required by project activities.
Management of Laboratory Staff
Manage, supervise, and coordinate all laboratory technicians and supporting staff.
Assign laboratory personnel to different sites, projects, testing activities, and tasks based on project requirements and priorities.
Monitor staff attendance, workload, performance, and daily task completion.
Ensure adequate manpower coverage is maintained for all three projects.
Testing and Sampling Activities
Plan, coordinate, and monitor all construction material sampling and testing activities for the three projects.
Ensure timely execution of concrete, grout, aggregate, asphalt, steel, and other required material tests.
Coordinate with Site QC/QA teams, batching plants, suppliers, third-party laboratories, consultants, and other relevant parties as required.
Ensure testing is performed within the required frequencies and project specifications.
Laboratory Reports , Documentation, Equipment and Laboratory Resources
Take responsibility for the proper preparation, review, control, and timely submission of all laboratory test reports.
Ensure that test reports are complete, accurate, traceable, and supported by the relevant sampling and testing records.
Follow up on pending, delayed, or incomplete test reports and ensure timely closure.
Maintain proper laboratory records, test registers, equipment records, calibration certificates, and other required documentation.
Monitor the availability, condition, and proper operation of laboratory equipment.
Ensure all testing equipment remains calibrated and fit for purpose.
Identify shortages of equipment, consumables, manpower, or other resources and coordinate their timely provision.
Ensure proper housekeeping, safety, storage, and organization of the laboratory.
- Relevant professional certifications or laboratory quality-system experience are an advantage.
