The cable is designed for high-bandwidth industrial imaging and is capable of carrying both image data and Camera Link control signals between compatible devices. It uses 24 AWG oxygen-free copper conductors together with a highly flexible PVC cable structure, supporting dependable signal transmission while providing the mechanical flexibility needed for integration inside industrial equipment. Both SDR-26 and MDR-26 connectors are molded and incorporate screw retention, helping maintain a secure physical connection during machine operation.
The SDR-26P Male to MDR-26P Male arrangement is particularly useful when machine vision system designers need to connect equipment that does not use matching Camera Link connector formats at both ends. Rather than relying on additional adapters or intermediate connections, the cable provides the required interface conversion within a single industrial cable assembly.
