Subject: Application for the Position of Captain
Waiter.
Dear Hiring Manager,
I am writing to express my interest in the position of Waiter. With over five years of practical experience in fine dining restaurants in Saudi Arabia, I have developed strong expertise in guest service, table service, order management, POS operations, cash handling, inventory coordination, beverage preparation, and daily restaurant operations.
In my current role as a Captain Waiter at Jar El Wared, a Lebanese Fine Dine Restaurant, I am responsible for supporting smooth front-of-house operations while maintaining professional hospitality standards. My responsibilities include conducting weekly and monthly inventory counts, submitting accurate POS records, preparing daily cash sales, reconciling cash and card transactions, and managing order aggregator devices such as HungerStation, Jahez, The Chefz, and To-You. I also prepare hot and cold beverages and support banquet and catering services according to guest requirements.
Previously, as a Waiter at Addict.KSA Fine Dine Steak House, I strengthened my capabilities in welcoming guests, menu presentation, accurate order taking, food and beverage service, dining-area maintenance, and coordination with restaurant teams. I have experience serving approximately 40 customers during evening shifts while maintaining attentive and courteous service.
I am proficient in Foodics, Revel POS, Micros POS, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook, with strong communication abilities in Bangla, English, Hindi, and Arabic. I am confident that my customer-focused attitude, professional etiquette, service coordination, adaptability, and commitment to operational accuracy would allow me to contribute effectively to your restaurant team.
I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss how my experience and capabilities can support your organization’s hospitality and guest-service objectives. Thank you for considering my application.
Sincerely,
SHOHAG MIA
