Freight Forwarding Operations Executive

We are looking for a FREIGHT FORWARDING OPERATIONS EXECUTIVE


Key Responsibilities

• Shipment Coordination: Manage full-lifecycle air, sea, and cross-trade operations from booking confirmation to final warehouse or customer delivery.
• Documentation & Customs: Prepare, review, and process shipping documents (such as Bills of Lading, MAWB/HAWB, commercial invoices, packing lists, and Certificates of Origin) and oversee local customs clearance procedures.
• Carrier & Partner Liaison: Coordinate closely with airlines, shipping lines, port authorities, customs brokers, and transporters to secure space and resolve bottlenecks.
• Tracking & Updates: Monitor shipment schedules (ETD/ETA), provide real-time status pre-alerts to clients, and update internal Freight Management Systems (FMS).
• Cost & Rate Negotiation: Support the team in negotiating competitive freight and haulage rates while ensuring accurate billing and adherence to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Compliance & Problem Solving: Ensure strict adherence to international trade laws, IATA rules, and regional customs regulations, acting as an escalation point for transit delays or disruptions.


Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, or International Business.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in freight forwarding, shipping operations, or logistics coordination.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Freight Management Systems (FMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
• Working knowledge of local customs regulations (e.g., Saudi Customs procedures for regional roles) and Incoterms.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office (especially Excel for tracking and reporting).
• Soft Skills: High organizational capability, attention to detail, crisis management under pressure, and clear communication skills in English and local languages
