Position: Mechanical Tank QC Inspector

Job Description
Zahra Arabian Thuimer General contracting company is looking for an experienced Mechanical Tank QC Inspector for a tank construction project in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in storage tank fabrication, erection, inspection, and quality control, with sound knowledge of API 650 standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform quality inspections during storage tank fabrication, erection, welding, and installation activities.
Ensure compliance with API 650, approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable quality standards.
Review and verify Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality documentation.
Inspect welding activities, joint fit-up, weld visual inspection, and dimensional checks.
Coordinate with welding inspectors, NDT personnel, construction teams, and client representatives.
Monitor inspection activities, identify non-conformities, and follow up on corrective actions.
Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checklists, and quality records.
Ensure compliance with project quality requirements and applicable client standards.
Candidate Requirements
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical quality control for storage tank construction projects.
Good working knowledge of API 650 requirements.
Experience in tank fabrication, erection, welding inspection, and related QC activities.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, project specifications, and inspection documents.
Knowledge of ITPs, WPS/PQR, welding documentation, and NDT coordination.
Strong communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
Relevant API certification or other recognized QC qualifications will be an advantage.
