Stepper Motor Drivers

A motor alone cannot provide the complete control required by an automated machine. Stepper motor drivers regulate the electrical current supplied to the motor and translate control signals into the appropriate winding energisation sequence. This enables controlled rotation and helps maintain the required motor performance.
Modern drivers may offer features such as microstepping, adjustable current settings, and protection against selected electrical or thermal faults. Microstepping divides each full motor step into smaller commanded increments, which can improve motion smoothness and positioning resolution. Actual positioning accuracy also depends on mechanical design, load, motor characteristics, and control settings.
