About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Electrical Technician for a 1,800 MW GE-technology Combined Cycle Power Plant. The role covers preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of LV, MV, and HV electrical systems to keep the plant safe and reliable.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, MCCs, switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, and generator auxiliaries
Maintain excitation systems, batteries, chargers, DC systems, and UPS equipment
Carry out electrical testing (insulation resistance, winding resistance, continuity, earth resistance) and fault troubleshooting
Assist in protection relay, trip circuit, and interlock testing
Support planned outages, major inspections, and overhauls
Follow PTW, LOTO, isolation, and arc-flash safety procedures
Complete work orders and test reports in the CMMS (SAP PM or equivalent)
Requirements
Diploma or technical certificate in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent trade qualification
8–10 years of electrical maintenance experience in a thermal/CCGT power plant or heavy industry
Experience with gas turbine and steam turbine equipment (GE technology is an advantage)
Practical knowledge of LV/MV switchgear, generators, transformers, protection systems, and DC systems
Ability to read single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and schematics
Willingness to work shifts, standby duty, and outages
