Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Excavator Mechanic (Poclain) to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair excavators and heavy construction equipment. The candidate should have strong technical knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and mechanical components to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs of excavators (Poclain) and other heavy equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and engine-related faults.
- Repair and maintain hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, hoses, and hydraulic motors.
- Inspect and repair diesel engines, cooling systems, transmission systems, and undercarriage components.
- Identify equipment faults and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Replace damaged or worn-out parts and ensure proper equipment performance.
- Conduct inspections and testing after repairs to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain maintenance records and report equipment defects to the supervisor.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and equipment maintenance standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- ITI, Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Relevant experience in excavator (Poclain) maintenance and repair.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and heavy equipment components.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults independently.
- Experience using maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to equipment breakdowns at job sites.
Preferred Experience: 3–5 years in heavy equipment maintenance, particularly excavators (Poclain).
